Innovative Products
Halal Marketplace: Haltrade ExchangeA cloud-based Halal and Food Safety Trade Exchange portal and platform that incorporates a collaborative 5th Party Logistics and Supply Chain Management platform integrated with Food Safety Monitoring and Control. This is embedded with domain knowledge in Halal, Food Safety Track-and-Trace, Supplier and Product Authentication, and trade related regulatory framework databases.
End-to-End Traceability System from farm to fork: Trust3dAn End-to-End Traceability systems that provides transparency on the information, safety of ingredients used and the Halal (Wholesome) index for consumption to the consumers. It allows for Product authentication and anti-fraud mechanism not seen in the Food industry.
Global Halal Alliance
The Global Halal Alliance comprises partners who are key experts and implementers in building specific areas of infrastructure in the Halal Ecosystem in order to endow Trust and provide Consumer Assurance in the development projects in the Halal economy, thus providing the projects with the basis for sustainable development.
The specialised and proprietary knowledge of the partners cover critical areas of the Halal Ecosystem, and include:
- Food Safety, Food Quality and Halal infrastructure, including laboratories, and the training and accreditation of auditors.
- International Trade IT platform that incorporates tracking and monitoring of Halal and Safe Foods across the supply chain to link food sources, food producers and through distribution to markets.
- Islamic Finance, including the areas of Halal investments, trade and SME development.
- Centres of Excellence in R&D and Innovation for Halal ingredients and products.
- Physical Infrastructure master planning, design and construction to ensure that food processing and distribution parks are built and operated as best-in-class.
- Global export programs to build export markets, especially for SMEs.
- Halal and Food Safety verification, tracking and monitoring.
In addition, the Global Halal Alliance engages very closely with Halal and Food Safety Regulators and Halal Industry Communities. The collaboration amongst the needs of the Regulators, the provision of enabling infrastructure to endow trust and provide consumer assurance in the global Halal Ecosystem from the GHA Partners, and the Communities in Industry who wish to produce wholesome and Halal verified products and who also wish to access global markets.
A Halal Regulator who is a member of the Alliance representing the community of Regulators is Jabatan Agama Johor (JAJ) - the Johor State Religious Development Department of the Johor State government that is responsible for the area of Halal certification for the State. JAJ is working with the Alliance in a Halal verification framework that includes Food Safety, to support its Halal certification process enhancement and development.
The Alliance works with Regulators in various countries responsible for the certification of Halal. Similarly, the Alliance welcomes collaboration with Industry bodies representing the communities of manufacturers of Halal products, in order to reduce the costs of global market access by providing the enablers for consumer assurance and trust throughout the value chain.
